Android Developer Internship

This position is based in Singapore.

MINIMUM DURATION OF INTERNSHIP: 6 months

REPORTING TO: Start-up Engagement Integration Lead

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and build Android applications around payment and commerce services

- Develop simple Android applications from scratch for POC purpose

- Work with the Startup Integration Lead to develop the necessary function and application required

- Debugging, fixing defects, and providing root cause analysis if needed

- Carrying out the impact analysis on new enhancement request

- Liaise with internal teams when needed

- Design and build technical bricks / modules to make them re-usable across projects

- Maintain and document new software release

KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES/INDICATORS

- Quantitative and qualitative targets for the number of POC delivered

COMPETENCY/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

- Experience with a programming language (Java is preferred)

- Knowledge of any other programming languages such as Dart, Flutter, Kotlin is a plus

- Knowledge of mobile application development tools such as Android Studio

- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts

- Experience in web service integration with external applications/backend (REST API)

- Understanding of third-party libraries, SDK, and API usage

- Security knowledge around credentials storage, API authentication method, and PKI is a plus

- Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or AZURE is a plus

- Ability to work independently

- Problem-solving, attention to details, and self-motivated in delivering project

- Any experience around payment and commerce application development is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related fields
