Merchant Boarding Agent

In the role as Boarding Agent, you will help our customers join Bambora with excellent service and care. We take great pride in giving our customers the best possible start; it should be quick and easy to get started. We aim to get it right the first time! 

 

The successful candidate is one who stands out with a strong solution-oriented mindset and passion for collaborating with colleagues across departments and national boundaries. It is important that you are service minded and clear in your communication both internally and externally. 

You don’t have to love rules and regulations, but a good feel for them and how to apply them will make you succeed here at Bambora. Any experience of working with AML compliance, risk assessments or merchant underwriting is a big plus, as in any previous experience from the payments or financial industry.

Responsibilities with the role

  • Performing underwriting of new customers, which entails risk and compliance assessments 
  • Boarding new customers onto our different production systems
  • Be a vital part of our lead-to-live journey
  • Liase and advise sales and KAM colleagues

 

Characteristics               

We are looking for a self-starter whose key capabilities include:

  • Incredibly service minded with a great interest and understanding in technology
  • team player; adept at working with multiple people at any given time
  • Truly flexible: able to shift tasks and priorities in a big way at the drop of a hat
  • Creative and process-driven: you're constantly looking for ways to make things work more efficiently
  • An excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with a seamless blend of professionalism and friendliness

 

Qualifications 

  • University level education
  • Excellent communication skills – orally as well as written– in Swedish and English
  • Previous experience in AML, KYC, merchant onboarding or underwriting practices
  • Proven work experience where your superb service skills and attention to details were demonstrated

 

Desirable

  • Communication skills in Norwegian, Danish and/or Finnish are an advantage
  • Previous experience in risk assessment or other fast-paced operational environment or analytical work
  • Previous work experience in an industry such as gambling, merchant acquiring or other payment services
