As Technical Project Manager you will manage multiple critical projects from start to completion, during a contract term lasting through February 2022. Some of your key project tasks include timeline creation / management, frequent status reporting, problem solving, and coordination across multiple departments / disciplines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Software Development project activities for multiple projects across all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
  • Creating, managing and tracking project vehicles, including, but not limited to project scoping, project scheduling, detailed project schedules, requirements gathering, cost estimates, resource plans, risk and issue tracking, and status reporting.
  • Tailoring project management methodologies to meet the needs of assigned (new and/or ongoing) projects and software releases.
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of projects and staff; communicating with managers, team leads, & project teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within cost parameters.
  • Communicating and collaborating with internal and external customers as needed regarding project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Making decisions and communicating trade-offs and risks; drive key decisions across projects.
  • Making recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation with input from team members
  • Representing Project Management in Engineering SCRUMs focused on integrating customer requests, and representing projects involving cross-functional teams, once approved, into existing work schedules.
  • Coaching and training project team members on Software Development processes and best practices.
  • Assisting Integration Support in preparation of weekly KPIs and firmware Bill of Material validation.
  • Time tracking for R&D projects via JIRA tools.
  • Establishing strong relationships with Engineering and Product Management

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of practical professional experience in project management, experience in the mobile and/or payment industry products/technology a plus 
  • Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficient with the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA)
  • Proficiency with JIRA Tempo desirable
  • Proficiency with Timeline Confluence plug-in desirable
  • PMP certification desirable
  • Experience in firmware development process desirable
