Paymark are developing the next generation of digital payment solutions for New Zealand businesses. As we move into 2021 and beyond, Paymark are expanding our business development team to ensure that all New Zealand retail, including our customer network of 90,000+ merchants, is in the best position to leverage our new solutions. 


Here’s where you come in! You’ll be a proactive part of the sales team, identifying out-bound sales opportunities for Paymark’s range of digital payment products and services, guiding customers and partners all the way through onboarding and implementation.


Here’s the gist of the role:


  • Identify potential payment solutions clients, and the decision makers within these organisations
  • Establish successful business relationships with prospective clients up and down the customer organisation, to ELT / C-suite level
  • Identify, promote, propose, and sell Paymark’s products, solutions and services to new clients
  • Work with the existing Sales team to cross-sell new services into existing accounts
  • Meet and achieve new business sales quotas
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of these products, solutions and services with internal Paymark stakeholder groups.


Have you got what it takes?


  • 5-8 years in successful new business acquisition experience in either Financial services, Fintech, or ICT industries, preferably in the NZ market (but not essential)
  • You’ll be confident and able to clearly articulate when it comes to networking, persuasion, prospecting, communicating, researching, writing, closing, sales planning, identification of client needs and challenges, territory management, and finally market knowledge
  • Demonstrable business acumen and a proven track record of success selling solutions to corporate and/or enterprise organisations
  • The ability to establish relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of across multiple industry sectors.
