At Paymark we’re on a journey to build New Zealand’s best eCommerce digital platform, with the customer at the centre of our all our decision making. Unlike our formidable legacy in solutions for brick and mortar stores, we’re relatively new in this space and are pushing hard to become the market leader for eCommerce in New Zealand. To get there, we are looking for a switched on and technically savvy Senior Product Manager to join our Products and Technology team.

 

The scope of this role includes software product management (Agile Scrum squad focused) to build new innovative products alongside technology teams, industry engagement, roadmap management, business model development, go-to-market execution, competition analysis, budget management and definition of product operations processes.  You’ll also be contributing heavily to our shared product portfolio vision.

 

Here's what you’ll be working on:

  • Driving the success of our eComm gateway – you’ll ensure that our eComm products are delivering the right services to customers and are meeting our strategic and financial targets.
  • Getting our products out the door –When a customer-driven opportunity arises, you will be supporting the sales team to “close the deal”.
  • Championing the eComm roadmap – you will own, develop and document the eComm payments roadmap and be part of the annual strategic planning process. You will also work with Product Analysts to produce product backlog for the development team and other parts of the business who are involved in building our digital products.
  • Driving lifecycle management
  • Building key relationships and identifying opportunities –through these networks, you’ll also identify and deliver opportunities that align with the objectives for our eComm products and the wider company.

 

Here’s what we need from you:

We need you to be able to be the visionary for our digital products. That means you can easily switch from the detail of the product roadmap, to the big picture of what we’re trying to achieve, and, ensure all these pieces fit together and complement each other. 

 

We also need you to be the biggest and loudest champion of our eComm products. That means that you’re easily able to bring anyone from our leadership team to a kiwi business owner on the journey of what we’re trying to achieve and why it’s so important.

 

And:

  • Solid experience in product management, including customer experience design and opportunity evaluation
  • Demonstrated competency in commercial analysis, software development process and Agile development methodologies (mandatory)
  • Proven understanding of enterprise mobility considerations, including security and user experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, and Power BI (mandatory)
  • Sense of humour (mandatory).
