We are looking for a new Senior Accounting Manager at Bambora in Stockholm, Sweden.

Bambora is an international company specialized in payment services, belonging to one of the leader payment groups worldwide, Worldline.


This role covers an entire business line: the Senior Accounting Manager works in an international organization, follows the business in several markets / countries / entities. He/she is speaking partner to operation managers.

The Senior Accounting Manager is the leader of a team, and a part of it is payment specialists. The manager’s role is to ensure top notch level of internal control with their team and help them improve their methods.


Core responsibilities:

  • Ensure integrity and truthfulness of the books in your scope
  • Be responsible for accounting compliance for the company (annual reports, tax declarations)
  • Manage a team of accounting specialists
  • Support statutory audit, establish and maintain good relationship with our auditors
  • Ensure continuous excellent internal control in your scope. This goes with proper documentation and process descriptions, regular controls, ability to spot gaps and propose solutions.
  • Monthly closing: your responsibility covers R2R entries and reconciliations (payroll, capitalized RD, intercompany, reporting), as well as coordinating all other streams of the closing.


This role covers accounting responsibilities for different legal entities in different countries. The Senior Accounting Manager is a partner to the business controlling team, with daily and monthly dialogue. The role will also include participating to a project of ERP migration


We are looking for someone with a solid experience (10-15 years) in an international group, a great team player who can demonstrate leadership qualities including a proactive approach to finding solutions, mentoring team members, and setting standards for the organization. We are looking for someone capable of managing declarations and compliance with different tax administrations, and has solid knowledge in VAT and if possible in pro rata VAT calculations and declarations. Appetite for change management is welcome.


Due to the scale and nature of the job, the manager is rigorous, square, but also has the ability to see “the big picture”. Fluent English and Swedish is required. Experience in the payment / finance industry would be a plus.
