ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
The Unattended Solutions Engineer is responsible for supporting pre & post sales and integration needs of our clients. They work closely with account executives and managers to provide technical product integration support to the sales team. The Unattended Solutions Engineer is the technical liaison between customers and internal departments including product management, marketing, sales, service, QA, and software development. They gather and assess functional, technical, and business requirements to understand how to best implement Ingenico's unattended products and services. Will perform technical and sales related activities at customer locations independent of sales executives, which may include, but is not limited to, customer presentations, product integrations, and product demonstrations to provide guidance and training on Ingenico's suite of solutions. The ideal candidate should have a track record of successfully managing, consulting, and servicing large, complex customer solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Act as the primary technical interface for unattended integrations with customers
- Implement and support Ingenico hardware and software payment solutions focused on unattended vertical
- Collaborate with third-party financial solution providers to resolve technical integration issues.
- Deliver product training to customers and partners.
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend best practices and optimal solutions.
- Provide sales support to account executives through presentations, whiteboard sessions, and technical product demonstrations.
- Support existing clients in problem determination, resolution, and product upgrades.
- Participate in sales meetings and industry-related events.
- Recommend product enhancements and relay customer feedback to product management.
- Assist in testing and piloting new hardware and software releases.
- Work with QA and software engineering teams to recreate and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical input to software development teams to enhance Ingenico's Unattended solution stack.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Development experience in Android, Java, and C#.
- Strong knowledge of API integration methodologies.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Technical expertise with driver solutions, PC installations, and detailed unattended workflows.
- Strong project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Analytical and leadership capabilities with experience managing customer expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build strong business relationships and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Skilled at translating business needs into technical requirements and simplifying complex concepts.
NICE TO HAVE
- Understanding various encryption standards and concepts in the secure payments industry including Master/Session, DUKPT, DES and Triple DES.
- Experience with EMV certification and integration.
- Understanding security requirements within payments industry such as PABP, PCI-PED, & PCI-DSS.
- Hardware experience with POS peripherals, PCs, servers, and common POS retail workstations and back-office solutions.
- Understanding of various payment device interfaces & implementations such as OPOS, JPOS & IBM EFT.
- MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
