Title:                      Customization Center Supervisor


Reports to:         Customization Manager

Summary:

Supervise/manage the people and processes at the Shiloh facility who are involved with the customization of products to meet quality, cost and on time delivery goals

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

• Supervises/manage staffing to meet committed ship dates to customers
• Supervise/manage equipment resources to maximize capacity
• Work with Operations planners and management to provide committed ship dates
• Meet goals and objectives of on time delivery, productivity and cost
• Adjust distribution center temporary manpower to minimize cost
• Supervise/manage distribution center labor to improve efficiency
• Provide support to the special projects distribution
• Work with Process Engineering to improve processes
• Enforce all Human Resources policies and procedures
• Work with temp agencies to provide a flexible and trained workforce
• Work with Quality department to ensure employees are following quality processes
• Enforce Quality Corrective Action request            
• Provide daily reports on output at key process steps
• Review and approve expense request for the distribution center
• Any other tasks as assigned

Competencies / Skills Requirements:

• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Proficient in Excel and Word

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position is directly responsible for supervising exempt, non-exempt, warehouse hourly employees and temp agency employees

Required Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or related degree in Operation field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 or more years managing a production or distribution center with a large temp workforce
• Work with distribution on an electronic product that requires customization is plus but not required

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout 75% of the day.  The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.  This position requires the constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator; copy machine, and computer printer.  The person in this position frequently communicates with both internal and external clients.  Needs to be able to walk to various areas of the building and be able to bend at waist and knees to access and maintain employee files.  Lifting, bending and stooping is required

This job operates in a professional office environment and a warehouse setting.
