Scope
As a outbound specialist, you are responsible for the daily Outbound Logistics tasks in the Logistics department of the EMEA Hub, with direct report to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
You have a good knowledge of all site logistics processes and a good understanding of the market of local forwarders with a huge focus on delivery from the site to the customers using different channels and mixing different types of transportation. Moreover, you also haeve a good understanding of the main Customs processes for Import/Export. You are expected to challenge conventional thinking and explore various perspectives, and to understand the need for data, analysis and regular reporting for the Supply Chain. You are responsible to manage the daily operative tasks to manage the daily shipments, but also focusing constantly on the continuous improvement.You cooperate with the Ingenico EMEA colleagues speaking in English.
You will have a global overview on the outbound and will be accountable for :
- Daily shipments management
- Couriers operations management
- Couriers costs management
- Delivery and transport management
Main responsibilities
- Manage the daily deliveries and shipments preparation
- Monitor and coordinate the Subco outbound team
- Collaborate with the EMEA logistic teams (in English) in order to secure the SLA agreed with clients
- Manage the SAP processes related to outbound operations
- Monitor and cooperate closely with the transport Companies to secure they’re compliant with the SLA agreed and compare different couriers options in terms of services and costs to be able to select the most efficient one and monitor transport KPIs and take corrective actions to adjust any variation
- Liaise with the Planning team to get the full visibility of the volumes expected to be shipped and provide feedbacks to them with the shipment status
- Check the monthly invoices from couriers and chase them for all unexpected or unclear values
- Produce and analyze main logistics KPIs
Signs of success
- Support success of Supply Chain projects through analysis. Assesses risks, manages timelines, identifies deliverables and any required resources
- Provide recommendations to improve organizational performance and Identify opportunities, recommend strategy and implement system changes or business process improvements to improve operations and KPIs
- Maintain best practices to develop data, analysis and standard processes
- Ability to collaborate across many different groups and communicate with multiple key stakeholders of all levels and Countries
Profile
You have 3+ years experience in logistics, transport planning management, Operations Management, Outbound or related fields. You are fluent in English and Italian.
Important skills :
- Experience in couriers operations management and in Customs processes for Import/Export
- Experience working/managing external subco preferred
- Good knowledge of SAP (WM, MM) and MS Office skills (especially Excel skills)
- Requires demonstrated ability to lead project or cross-functional teams to resolve, implement or reach consensus on issues.
