HRIS & Internal Communications Data Governance Intern

Overview 

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented intern to support a short-term project focused on improving the quality, governance, and reliability of information across our HR Information System (HRIS) and Intranet platforms. 

Working across both the HR Information Systems and Internal Communications teams, the intern will contribute to the review, cleanup, update, and governance of HR content, policies, and data. This role is ideal for a student interested in Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Management, or Project Management who is keen to gain hands-on experience in a cross-functional environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Data & Content Quality 

  • Review, clean, and update HR data and content across the HRIS platforms and Intranet. 

  • Identify obsolete, duplicate, or inaccurate information and coordinate its removal or correction. 

  • Support the migration and consolidation of local content into global standards where appropriate. 

  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of HR information across platforms. 

Governance & Process Improvement 

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of content and data governance practices. 

  • Help define ownership, review cycles, and maintenance processes for HR information. 

  • Assist in documenting procedures and guidelines to support ongoing data quality management. 

  • Participate in audits and quality control activities. 

Stakeholder Coordination 

  • Liaise with HR, Internal Communications, IT, to track and complete required updates. 

  • Monitor action plans and follow up on outstanding activities. 

  • Support project coordination activities and maintain progress tracking documentation. 

Reporting & Analysis 

  • Prepare status reports and dashboards on cleanup and governance activities. 

  • Analyse trends, identify data quality issues, and recommend improvements. 

 

Candidate Profile 

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. 

  • Comfortable working with digital tools, databases, and content management systems. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on action plans. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented mindset. 

  • Potentially currently  pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, Data Management, or a related field. 

 

 

Skills & Experience 

Essential 

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders. 

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.  

  • Interest in data governance, knowledge management, or internal communications. 

 

Desirable 

  • Working knowledge of French. 

  • Exposure to HR Information Systems (SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HR, Workday, or similar). 

  • Experience with intranet platforms, SharePoint, or content management systems.
