Summary of the role

 

  • Focus on financial reporting & month-end closing for Ingenico UK Limited
  • Support 3 legal entities based in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland
  • Terminals, Solutions & Services global business unit
  • Reporting to the Ingenico UK Management Accountant
  • Based in Dalgety Bay, Fife

 

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities include

 

  • Lead the month-end closing processes including preparation and submission of journal entries
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet and P&L analysis
  • Submission of monthly financial statements and budget information into corporate consolidation tool
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations & control accounts
  • Supporting the Management Accountant and wider UK, Germany, and Switzerland Finance teams as required
  • Maintenance of financial accounting / Chart of Account structure in SAP
  • Management of all master data in SAP
  • Support statutory financial, regulatory, and statistical reporting requirements
  • Produce relevant recurring & ad-hoc management information
  • Support internal and external audit activity
  • Focus on internal control
  • Support Group-driven special finance projects

Skills we can't do without

 

  • Strong knowledge of both UK and International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards
  • Previous experience in a similar role – i.e., a strong management or financial accounting background
  • You are highly numerate, with excellent Excel skills
  • You have first class written and oral communication skills
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels
  • You have a strong commitment to providing first rate financial support to the business
  • You have strong organisational skills, balancing demands and working to tight deadlines with an ability to work on your own initiative
  • You are ethical, discrete, and confidential
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude

Skills we’d like

 

  • Knowledge of SAP would be a strong advantage
  • Previous experience of working in the Finance function within a large international Group
  • A professional accounting qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
