We are seeking a talented Demand Planning Specialist to manage demand planning for our terminals, spare parts, and accessories. This role is crucial to ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective operations. You will be responsible for estimating future product demand, managing product transitions, analyzing inventory flow, and maintaining relationships with suppliers (primarily intercompany).
To excel in this role, you should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of advanced forecasting methods and tools
Responsibilities:
- Use the S&OP tool (Anaplan) to review demand and collaborate with the global supply team on production planning.
- Prepare and track S&OP data for monthly meetings and ensure follow-up on required actions.
- Place Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP for Electronic Manufacturing Suppliers (EMS) based on demand and stock levels.
- Partner with the Customer Service team to communicate product availability for each order.
- Collaborate with sub-regional Supply Chain Leads to achieve sales targets and Supply Chain KPIs.
- Monitor and report significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Propose and implement solutions to enhance demand forecast accuracy.
- Address demand-related issues promptly and effectively.
What we are looking out for:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- SAP experience
- Microsoft experience
- Power BI experience would be an advantage
