ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
The Material Planning Specialist is responsible for managing the MRP process for spare parts to support Repair Center operations in the US, NCO, and Mexico. This person will be in charge of spare parts demand planning, purchase order creation and tracking, Suppliers and Repair Center relationship. They will also monitor the product lifecycle, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
The Material Planning Specialist is responsible for managing the MRP process for spare parts to support Repair Center operations in the US, NCO, and Mexico. This person will be in charge of spare parts demand planning, purchase order creation and tracking, Suppliers and Repair Center relationship. They will also monitor the product lifecycle, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Spare Parts Planning/ Purchasing:
- Align spare parts demand requirements in coordination with Repair Centers across the 3 sub-regions.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure they remain within targets, including control of stock in transit, stock on hand, and excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory.
- Perform end-to-end purchasing activities: order placement, expediting, rescheduling, invoice instruction, and follow-ups.
- Optimize order planning to reduce costs and freight expenses.
- Prepare month-end reports covering consumption, open purchase orders, in-transit stock, and inventory levels.
- Develop, track, and implement corrective actions for key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with engineering, repair centers and quality teams to mitigate customer impact caused by stockouts.
- Partner with the Group Supply Chain to support enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives, including the Anaplan Project implementation.
- Handle E-parts demands (internal e-commerce) operation.
KPI´s
- Prepare internal process performance KPIs.
- Ensure inventory targets are met.
- Ensure delivery times to Repair Centers meet defined targets.
- Monitor pending/awaiting spare parts.
- Track freight costs in relation to purchase orders.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of inventory management.
- Experience with ERP systems – preferably SAP.
- Experience in purchasing electronic components.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English & Fluent in Spanish.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MRP processes.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
