About the role
The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance and functionality of the Cernusco sul Naviglio and Milano sites. The role acts as the primary point of contact for all facility related matters, coordinating internal stakeholders and external service providers to guarantee a safe, secure, environmentally conscious, efficient, and well-maintained working environment for employees.
The Facility Manager will oversee building maintenance, landlord relationships, workplace services, physical security, emergency preparedness, office infrastructure and fleet management, while closely collaborating with Site Manager, Logistics, Procurement, HR, IT, and Health & Safety teams.
The role requires strong on-site presence, primarily based in Cernusco sul Naviglio, to ensure responsiveness to operational needs and maintain high service levels across all locations.
A strong operational partnership with the Cernusco Site Manager is critical to ensure alignment with business priorities and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facilities operations, maintenance activities, and landlord relationships.
- Oversee external service providers and ensure service quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate workplace services, including office spaces, workstations, supplies, cleaning, and employee support.
- Ensure site security measures, access controls, and emergency response procedures are effectively implemented.
- Support Health & Safety compliance, inspections, emergency drills, mandatory training, and medical surveillance activities.
- Investigate and manage facility, safety, and security incidents, implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Monitor building performance, utility consumption, and identify opportunities for operational and energy efficiencies.
- Manage facility budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and support capital investment projects.
- Partner closely with HR, IT, Procurement, Logistics, Security, and Health & Safety teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and employee-focused workplace.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Facilities, Workplace, or Property Management.
- Experience managing vendors, service contracts, and maintenance providers.
- Working knowledge of building maintenance, workplace services, Health & Safety, and compliance requirements.
- Fluent in Italian and English.

Reporting Line
Reporting to the Real Estate, Workplace & Facilities organization, the Facilities Manager will work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace environment.
