Areas of Responsibility:
Overall custodian of procure-to-pay process, ensuring process efficiency, tight and strict internal controls management
- Process and controls (Procure to Pay Process)
- Ensure 3-way-match of purchase orders, vendor invoices, payments
- Check, verify and process periodic supplier payments, invoices, staff expense claims, staff reimbursements
- Download and update SAP banking for the payments made
- Review vendor statements for completeness of invoices
- Budget validation and reconciliation to cost centres
- Review and ensure robust vendor accruals
- Establish and maintain vendor master data (making sure all internal control requirements have been met including payment terms) – in SAP following the approval process
- Cash forecast and optimisation
- Co-manage cash out-flow forecast
- Contribute ideas of optimising cash with vendor analysis like extend payment terms
- Administration:
- Filing, archiving and collating of accounts payable documentation
- Others:
- Participate and contribute to any other ad hoc reporting or projects as and when directed by management
- Assist the financial controller with profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, reconciliations and month end close activities
- Assistance and support to Leadership Team, Finance Department and other staff in a prompt and efficient manner.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in the provision of payments related products and services.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams with demonstrable experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
- Cost centre management skills with a focus on budgeting, forecasting and controlling.
- Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Excellent understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant university qualification
- Good working knowledge of Accounting Systems
