Scope

In PPaaS we are agile at Scale and we have successfully implemented the SAFe framework.

In PPaaS we are organized by feature teams, each fully taking care of the delivery of a key scope of the Cloud Payment Platform from E2E perspective.

PPaaS system is composed of cutting-edge comprehensive technologies served across Payment Terminals, mobile applications, web portals, and complex back-ends hosted on both private and public clouds. The solution aims at serving several millions of payment terminals across the world, in a performant and secure way.

You will lead the team and the end-to-end system validation from both functional and non-functional coverage.

The Lead Validation guarantees the consistency of the practices on the different products and the different systems. He/she ensures the relevance and the efficiency of the methods in use and will work to improve them continuously by integrating feedbacks or the system evolution.

The Lead validation is also the team leader, a real first-level manager in an international context. He/she manages resources in France (Valence and Paris), Tunisia and India.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the end-to-end validation function

• Define the validation strategy
• Ensure the deployment of validation methods and tools and allow high level of automation.
• Evaluate the relevance of the different validation phases, their overlaps, and their gaps. Propose and implement changes aimed at improving the quality of deliverables while reducing deadlines and costs.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of a global test strategy, E2E, from Product Definition to Production acceptance tests.
• Represent the validation team during ceremonies such as the Change Advisory Board, incident reviews, quarterly quality reviews, risk review board, etc...

2. Manage the End-to-End system validation phases

• Ensure operational drive of the validation campaigns.
• Follow the status of critical bugs and/or impacting the business,
• Make the link with the product and project teams and the release manager. Share progress and integrate constraints and priorities.

3. Manage the End-to-End Validation team

• Build the team, train, increase skills.
• Monitor subcontracting, in France and abroad.
• Allocate team members to different projects.
• Develop diversity, encourage knowledge sharing and cooperation.

• Support the team on a day-to-day basis, relay managerial and corporate communications

Experience / Skills

• Proven educational background (Master Degree or Bachelor) preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a project manager, team lead in the information technology sector with a strong focus on quality, automation, and systems validation.
• Proven Experience in the world of functional testing of complex information systems for external customers (not only enterprise IT), ideally on the cloud and subject to aggressive SLAs

• Profound technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in software development, web technologies and cloud services Test frameworks

• Able to discuss, argue, defend a vision, points of view. And also, be able to listen, to question, to be challenged. Able to align with a common team vision
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Pragmatic, highly organized and structured
• Result oriented with a proactive mentality

• At ease working in an international environment.

• Experience in direct team reporting and managing
• Fluency in written and spoken English (at least B2 level)

• Experience in Financial and/or Payment Industry is a strong asset

Technical skills:

• Expertise in validation methods
• Expertise in the development and deployment of test strategies and plans,
• Experience in using automatic testing frameworks,
• Experience in using and integrating configuration and quality management tools (Atlassian Suite, Jira, Confluence, X-Ray).
• Team Player, proactive and autonomous.
• At ease on providing transparent and factual results.

Additional important skills

• Experience in Agile Scaled Framework(s) or in Safe is a plus
• Project Management certification (PMP/Prince2/AgilePM/PSM) is a plus
