  • The HR Business Partner (Japan & Channel Markets) will play a key role in partnering with country leadership teams to deliver strategic HR support and solutions that drive business objectives and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Japan and Channel Markets have a total Head count of 210 employees

 

  • Permanent, based in Singapore/Malaysia

 

What you can expect

 

  • Partner with leadership teams to understand business objectives, challenges, and talent needs, providing strategic HR guidance and support to drive organisational success.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to local leaders on a wide range of HR matters, including talent management, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.

  • Collaborate with global HR to implement global HR programs and initiatives within the channel countries and Japan, ensuring alignment with regional and local business needs and cultural nuances.

  • Lead and support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs across the region, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with global HR standards.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition teams to support recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, candidate sourcing, selection, and onboarding, to attract and retain top talent.

  • Drive initiatives to support business transformation and cost optimisation

  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, restructures, employee terminations, career development, and employee relations issues.

  • Analyze HR metrics, P&L and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven solutions that enhance cost optimisation, workforce productivity, engagement, and retention.

  • Stay updated on HR best practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes, sharing insights and recommendations with regional and global HR teams to continuously improve HR processes and programs.

  • Act as a change agent, driving organizational change initiatives and supporting leaders and employees through periods of transition and transformation.

 

 

What we are looking for

 

 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a Business Partner or equivalent role, preferably within a multinational corporation or global organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of APAC labor laws, regulations, and HR practices, with experience working across multiple countries within the region.

  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business results and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

  • Proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable HR solutions and recommendations

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating resilience, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
