Senior Product Manager

Job summary 

 As part of our mission to enable innovation, we provide a cutting-edge developer platform that allows ISVs (Independent Software Vendors), Banks, Acquirers, and PSPs to integrate and build on Ingenico’s payment terminals and cloud solutions, such as M360. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager  to create, deliver, and manage the end-to-end developer experience. This includes enabling developers to build Android-based business applications for Ingenico terminals and providing enterprise-level tools for Banks, Acquirers, and PSPs to integrate with our cloud services via APIs.This role requires exceptional C-stakeholder management skills with regular presentations to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. Additionally, you will influence and collaborate with transversal teams such as Legal, Operations, and Finance. A significant portion of the development work may be outsourced, and the Senior Product Manager will drive the relationship with the outsourced partner(s), ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the Ingenico Developer Platform, addressing the needs of ISVs, Fintech and enterprise developers (Banks, Acquirers, PSPs) across the regions (Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific).
• Regularly present strategies, roadmaps, progress, and key results to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment between the developer platform vision and Ingenico’s strategic goals.

Developer Tools & APIs:

• Oversee the development of the best developer platform addressing:
  • Android SDKs for ISVs building applications on Ingenico terminals.
  • Cloud APIs for enterprise integrations, including CICD tools and workflows for seamless deployment.
  • A centralized developer platform offering sandbox environments, repositories, community forums, and support.
• Act as a driving force in the API design process, ensuring developer needs and expectations are incorporated.

Cross-Functional Influence:

• Lead collaboration with transversal teams such as Legal, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to deliver a cohesive developer experience and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Drive coordination across product, engineering, and support teams to prioritize, plan, and execute the developer platform roadmap.

Outsourced Development & Delivery:

• Manage relationships with outsourced development partners, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with product goals.
• Oversee project execution, delivery milestones, and performance metrics for outsourced workstreams.

Signs of Success

• You deliver a developer platform that receives outstanding feedback from ISVs, Banks, Acquirers, and PSPs.
• You successfully present key strategies and results to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, gaining buy-in for strategic initiatives.
• You influence cross-functional teams to align priorities and execute seamlessly across organizational silos.
• You effectively manage outsourced development, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• You establish Ingenico as the go-to platform for developers in the payments industry.

Profile and experience

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in technology product management, with at least 5+ years building developer platforms or tools. You had at least 5 years as a developer and are familiar with Android development and APIs.

Skills We Can’t Do Without :

• Proven experience managing C-level stakeholders, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence transversal teams, including Legal, Finance, and Operations.
• Strong experience managing outsourced development, with a focus on driving execution and quality.
• Ability to translate a business vision into multidisciplinary workstreams.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive results independently.

Skills We’d Like:

• Familiarity with instore payment ecosystems and cloud integrations.
• Experience working with ISOs, PSPs, ISVs, or Banks in a technical capacity.
• Knowledge of CICD workflows and agile methodologies.
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
• Passion for empowering developers and fostering innovation.
