As a driven and hands-on Production Purchasing Specialist, you support the local purchasing organization in a context of supply chain pressure and team reinforcement.
In this key operational role, you manage sourcing and supplier relationships for industrial components, ensuring supply continuity, cost efficiency, and operational performance. You contribute to strengthening purchasing activities while working closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing activities for industrial components, including supplier identification, evaluation, and selection
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base to ensure supply continuity and performance
- Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery) and drive improvement actions
- Support contract negotiation and contribute to cost optimization initiatives
- Track market conditions (capacity, pricing, risks) and provide inputs to support sourcing decisions
- Ensure timely and secure supply in coordination with planning and production teams
- Proactively manage supply risks (shortages, delays) and escalate critical issues
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, R&D, Production, Planning, and Quality teams
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and industrialization phases
- Follow up on purchasing KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Must-Have
- 3+ years of experience in industrial procurement / direct purchasing
- Experience managing suppliers in a manufacturing or industrial environment and understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
- First experience in negotiation and cost management
- Ability to handle operational challenges and supply issues
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent is a plus)
- Fluency in French and English
