Purpose:

To build, transform and motivate high performing teams that are centre to R&D vision of delivering quality commercial solutions, at cost within promised timeframe.


Area of responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain high performing agile product delivery teams.
  • Continuously identify improvement items to uplift quality and productivity of the team.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and the primary customer advocate for the agile team, ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager, Project Managers, customers, and other stakeholders to define and refine the features and user stories for the team backlog.
  • Participate in team events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retrospective, and team demos.
  • Accept or reject the team’s work results and provide feedback to ensure that the team delivers value and quality.
  • Work with other Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, to coordinate dependencies, share best practices, and resolve issues across the agile release train and solution train.
  • Apply customer-centricity and design thinking tools to guide the team toward delivering solutions that are desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable.
  • Gather and document business requirements, epics, user stories, process mapping and, functional specifications.
  • Help to build and maintain prioritised & refined product backlog across multiple initiatives
  • Assist impact assessments and estimations across newer payments programs and initiatives.
  • Support project transition through testing, implementations and into BAU.
  • Identify improvement items to uplift quality and productivity.
  • Proactively plan and address delivery risks.
  • Ensure R&D delivery framework is adhered

Experiences:

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar lead role in a SAFe environment
  • Payments experience is a plus
  • Proficient in SAFe frameworks and methods, as well as Scrum, Kanban, and XP practices
  • Experience in defining and prioritizing team backlog, writing user stories, and accepting work results
  • Experience in collaborating with customers and stakeholders, and communicating effectively with various audiences
  • Experience in working with distributed and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, miro, PIPlanning.io.
  • Experience as a product owner/product manager within financial services.
  • Experience in leading a team of multi-talented people such as Developers, QA, Scrum master, Devops etc.,

 

Qualificiations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certified SAFe Product Owner (PO) or equivalent SAFe certification
