As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of strategic key accounts across banks, acquirers, Network Service Providers (NSPs) and Commercial Network Providers (KNBs) of the payment industry across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will drive revenue growth by selling a mix of hardware, software, and service solutions, including SaaS and digital offerings. Your consultative sales approach will help clients navigate innovation and transformation in the payment space, ensuring their satisfaction and long-term partnership.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow strategic accounts with a consultative sales approach.
- Sign new Key Accounts
- Drive sales of complex, technology-driven solutions (HW, SW, SaaS, managed services).
- Lead responses to RFPs and ensure quarterly revenue targets are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional results and exceed goals.
- Build long-term partnerships with high-level decision-makers.
- Identify future client needs and craft tailored commercial proposals.
- Lead the sales process from opportunity to contract closure.
- Develop account plans and coordinate cross-functional sales efforts.
- Share market insights and contribute to strategic planning.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience :
- Degree from a business school or university.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role or in a related field (payments, tech solutions sales).
Technical Skills :
- Proven ability to manage strategic accounts in the payments sector (banks, PSPs, fintechs).
- Expertise in consultative selling and complex solution sales (HW, SW, SaaS, services).
- Comfortable engaging with C-level stakeholders.
Other important competencies :
- Passionate about solution selling and driven by challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player, excellent communicator and listener.
- Curious, intellectually agile, and able to grasp technical concepts.
- Resilient, persistent, and committed to excellence.
