Scope
As Sales Engineer, you will be joining our team in Germany reporting to the group Professional Services Sales Engineering team, dedicated to support our customers and Sales team and in the D-A-CH region. This role is key for delivering innovative POS payment acceptance solutions that are smarter, more connected and tailored to drive your customers' success moving commerce forward. As Sales Engineer you play a pivotal role in our B2B sales process. By leveraging your deep solution, technical, and industry expertise, you will craft comprehensive solutions (hardware + software + services) for both new and existing customers. Your mission will be to uncover prospect requirements, identify key functionalities, and recommend superior solutions and services that deliver customer value.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Facilitate pre-sales discussions with clients, providing expert insights into the payments industry, integration possibilities, product features, connectivity structures, and best practices. Represent Ingenico at the highest level in customer-facing meetings where you expertly articulate benefits and functionalities of our solutions to customers.
- Solution Design and Scoping: Lead the technical and financial discovery phase for new business opportunities, understand the customer business objectives and needs, analyze the feasibility and conduct the technical evaluation of customer requirements, crafting tailored solutions that seamlessly transition to the implementation team.
- Proposal and Information Requests: Contribute to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFI), ensuring accurate and compelling technical content.
- Product Presentations and Demonstrations: Develop and deliver engaging solution presentations and demonstrations to customers and prospects.
- Onboarding and Ongoing: setup and operation of customer-specific payment solutions (sample payment device setup, cloud platform setup, customer configurations). Technical coordination of new features, releases and software corrections as well as support for our customers during their software acceptance and certification processes, verifying reported problems in close cooperation with the specialist departments.
Profile
You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience within the payment industry primarily focused on designing and crafting technical solutions and proposals for customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You have a good understanding of POS technologies and payment software development on different operating platforms, both proprietary as well as Android-based payment devices, and SoftPOS on COTS devices. You demonstrate a strong focus on customer value, being Ingenico's technical interface to the outside world and manage all concerns together with the internal departments.

- Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong presentation and communication skills
- Fluent in German and English (French is a plus)
