Job summary

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic team at Ingenico Germany GmbH. 

In this pivotal role, you will champion agile principles and practices across three key teams – Software Delivery Germany, Software Delivery Switzerland, and Sales DACH – fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-value products and services.

You will be instrumental in facilitating SAFe routines across these multiple teams and actively participate in and contribute to our global Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) implementation, ensuring alignment and consistency across the organization.


Main Responsibilities


• Servant Leadership: Act as a servant leader for the Dev Team Germany, Dev Team Switzerland, and Sales DACH team, guiding and supporting them in their journey to self-organization and high performance.
• Facilitation of SAFe Routines: Facilitate key SAFe events and routines involving multiple teams, including but not limited to:
  o PI Planning: Leading and coordinating Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions to align team goals and dependencies.
  o Risk Management: Facilitating the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across the teams within the PI.
  o Inspect and Adapt Workshops: Guiding the teams through the Inspect and Adapt workshop to drive continuous improvement at the program level.
  o Scrum of Scrums: Facilitating cross-team coordination and dependency management through Scrum of Scrums.
• Team Size and Skill Evaluation: Regularly assess team sizes and dynamics and facilitate discussions around team composition and optimization. Work with the teams and relevant stakeholders to evaluate team skill sets and identify areas for individual and collective improvement.
• Skill Improvement: Support the teams in identifying and implementing strategies for skill development and knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Facilitation: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are productive, focused, and time boxed.
• Impediment Removal: Identify and actively work to remove impediments and roadblocks that hinder the progress of the teams.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, Scrum practices, and self-management, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaboration and Communication: Promote effective communication and collaboration within and between the three teams, as well as with stakeholders across the organization.
• SAFe Participation: Actively participate in global SAFe events and processes, contributing to the refinement of the framework and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Agile Advocacy: Champion agile values and principles within Ingenico Germany GmbH, promoting a consistent understanding and application of Scrum and other agile methodologies.
• Metrics and Reporting: Help the teams track and visualize progress, identify key metrics, and generate reports to provide transparency and insights to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within the teams by facilitating retrospectives and helping them implement actionable improvements.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their understanding of the agile process and managing expectations effectively.
• Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with agile management tools such as Jira and Confluence, as well as collaboration platforms like Miro for workshops and visualization.


Profile and qualifications 


• Proven experience working as a Scrum Master for multiple teams simultaneously.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, and a working knowledge of Kanban.
• Demonstrable experience in software development, providing a strong understanding of the development lifecycle.
• Significant experience participating in and facilitating key routines within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) implementation in a larger organization.
• Experience in evaluating team size and skill sets and driving initiatives for skill improvement.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Fluency in English and German is essential
• Proven experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Miro (or similar agile and collaboration tools).
• Relevant Scrum Master and SAFe certifications (e.g., CSM, CSPO, PSM, SAFe Agilist, SASM) are a significant plus.
