In this role, you will be expected to travel across different locations worldwide especially during the first year to build your internal network and identify main projects.
As the Crisis and Business Continuity Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans. You ensure that critical business functions can continue during and after disruptions, safeguarding the company’s operations, reputation, and financial stability. You will work closely with various departments to identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and coordinate response efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Define :
- Work with department heads, stakeholders, vendors or customers when needed to define critical business processes according to geographies, time of year, and business priorities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans to ensure that critical business operations can continue in the event of a crisis.
- Define specific system requirements to develop functions and safeguards to anticipate resilience of services to support the business continuity plans.Prepare :
- On the basis of the company risk assessment identify and in collaboration with all functions develop and implement mitigation strategies and contingency processes.
- Coordinate regular testing and drills of business continuity and disaster recovery plans in cooperation with relevant stakeholders as customers, vendors, Supply chain activities, IT, Security, products, HR, Finance, Insurance and operational business activities.
- Design training and awareness programs for employees on business continuity and emergency response procedures in collaboration with the security awareness organisation. .
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO 22301.
- Ensure communication materials with customer and accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage budget related to this activity
Execute :
- Act as the primary point of contact during a disruption, coordinating response efforts and communication to help actioning the business continuity plan.
- Help establish and manage business continuity teams to respond during a major business disruption.
- Assist business function to resume normal operations once crisis is closed.
- Continuously review and improve business continuity plans based on lessons learned and best practices.
- Keep abreast of business changes and developments in business continuity standards, regulations
Profile
You have a Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 10+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, or a related discipline in a private equity company. Ideally you also have some operating experience.
Important technical skills :
- Strong knowledge of business continuity standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301, NFPA 1600, DRII/BCI practices).
- Experience conducting BIAs, risk assessments, and crisis management activities.
- Certification in Business Continuity (e.g., CBCP, MBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer) is a plus.
Other meaningful skills :
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
- Strong level of English
