Scope

 

As part of the EMEA procurement team, you will manage the procurement of spare parts and accessories (SP&Acc) for several Ingenico Regions (Italy and Central Europe).

Besides this operational mission that will enable you to have a significant and valuable experience, you’ll be involved in the EMEA SP&Acc project, by leading the evaluation of logistic costs and savings.

 

Main responsibilities

 

  1. Procurement specialist for Italy and Central Europe :
  • On a monthly basis, collect all data necessary to build the forecast for Spare and Accessories supply;
  • Identify items to buy for the month, either as local purchase or as global purchase. You will need to analysis the level of stock vs the cost of purchase and the risk of shortage;
  • Inform the sales admin and logistics contacts about delivery dates;
  • Escalate any issue that could arise during the month to your manager and identify possible solutions within EMEA.

 

  1. Logistic costs follow up :

The EMEA procurement team is evolving from a decentralized purchasing flow to a global stock. This project aims at generating savings on freight costs which are not measured today. Your role will be to introduce logistic cost follow-up in the team:

  • Identified all transports in the different countries
  • Build a simply reporting to gather the freight costs from the team
  • Analyze the report and identified improvements to put in place in the team.
  • Estimate the possibility to use the new Transport Management System for this flow.

 

Profile 

 

You are a student in a Master's degree at university or in a Engineering school specialized in Logistics /Supply Chain and you are looking for a 6-month internship starting in January 2025.

 

Important skills

  • Fluent French and English, good communication with several cultures
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to take initiative or propose optimization
  • Willing to work in logistic and operational environment (adaptability)

For this role, you’ll be trained on SAP, procurement and supply chain management from Asia to Europe. You’ll work with many contacts around the world (Asia, Europe), and you’ll have to discuss with Central functions Teams at Ingenico. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet people from other functions, thus having a good understanding of a full industrial process.
